One of the Life Time (YMI Centenary Celebration)
Y’s Men International was founded on November 15, 1922 by Judge (Prosecutor) Paul William Alexander in Ohio, USA. Original intention is “YMI is a worldwide fellowship of persons of all faiths working together in mutual respect and affection, based on the teachings of Jesus Christ, and with a common loyalty to the Young Men’s Christian Association, striving through active service to develop, encourage and provide leadership to build a better world for all mankind.” Due to the fraternity spirit covered by the founding purpose, regardless of race, belief, and cultural diversity Tolerance, the association founded by Alexander (originally called Tolymca, later renamed Y’s Men Club) quickly developed in the Americas, and then expanded to Asia, Europe, Africa and South America, becoming a veritable international organization and a non-governmental organization members recognized by the United Nations.
This year 2022 is a milestone for YMI to enter its 100th year. It is very proud to be a member of Y’s Men International, because YMI seniors have made great contributions to social welfare over the past 100 years and warmed countless social groups and families. and individuals, and this kind of selfless dedication is still ongoing in today’s Y’s Men, so the YMI Centenary on November 15, 2022 is a day worthy of our YMI friends to remember, celebrate and inspire.
YMI Centenary Celebration was decided to be held in the birthplace of the YMI in the United States a long time ago. Unfortunately, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, it was decided to hold it in Taiwan after the meeting of the Committee of YMI Centenary Celebration. Taiwan Region is also obliged to take up the responsibility of organizing the YMI Centenary Celebration, actively organize the Host Committee of YMI Centenary Celebration, and elected APE Chaming Shen as HCC.
The procedures for planning and organizing the commemorative meeting are as follows:
1. Date: 10-12 March 2023
2. Venue: Grand Hyatt Hotel, Taipei, Taiwan
3. Pre or After Conference Tour Program (Optional) – 5 days, 3 days, 2 days program
4. RBM Cup Golf Tournament (Optional) – 9 March 2023

Taiwan Region will hold the YMI Centenary Celebration with great enthusiasm. This conference will be mainly a physical meeting, supplemented by video, so that all the YMI members around the world can participate in this Centenary Celebration. Friends of the YMI, whether you are a senior or a young member, you can only participate in the YMI Centenary Celebration in “One of the Life Time”. I’m looking forward to seeing you all together.
